Blue Fescue: Festuca glauca

Blue Fescue adds a tuffs of silvery-blue color to hot, dry, poor soils where little else will thrive. The blue fescue mounds upright and dense, but its soft texture makes it perfect for edging walkways or other trafficked areas.

This maintenance-free perennial (zone 4-8) forms an attractive, rounded 12-inch clump, with a cool foliage hue that contrasts with the greens of the landscape, and combines well with other ornamental grasses.

Once established it will flourish despite drought, heat, and poor soil. As an added bonus it is pest- and disease-resistant. Yeah!
