Cook's Herb Wreath

Smith & Hawken offers this lovely herb wreath. The Cook's Herb Wreath is an appealing natural accent in the kitchen, this handcrafted wreath provides the cook a ready supply of essential seasonings. The sage, oregano, rosemary, and bay leaves are cultivated without pesticides to ensure safe consumption, then air dried to preserve their maximum flavor and aroma. If protected from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture, the wreath will stay fresh for months to come.
This herb wreath is wonderful, but a bit pricey at $39.00. A resourceful Ghetto Gardener could do this project for pennies by drying your garden grown herbs and arrange it on some sort of Styrofoam wreath form. The only out-of-pocket cost would be for the wreath form. Since oregano grows like a weed in an established garden as does rosemary and sage, it would take a bit of foresight to dry enough leaves to make your own wreaths to give as gifts.
